The Qing and Western International Law

Students facilitating discussion should prepare a introductory commentary on the readings assigned for the week,

  1. summarizing core arguments, and points of agreement or disagreement.
  2. They can and should make reference to readings that have already been discussed in previous sessions.
  3. They should also prepare five broad and open-ended questions to generate discussion.

Everything need to write down page number or paragraph, so when I do the presentation I know where to look at. This is a presentation. So formal essay structure is not required. It would be just my speech for the presentation.

Also, let me know the order to present these three article. Like which one should I start with the presentation



One paragraph: introduction of all three readings topic, anything similar/difference, or how it connect together.

  2. Points of agreement
  3. Points of disagreement (add another agreement if you don’t have disagreement)

Rune Svarverud reading

Richard S. Horowitz reading
