Prior to beginning work on this assignment, you may want to review Unit 10 from Week 1, and read Unit 11 in your course textbook. Also, watch the BuyingSellingProcess.mp4 (Links to an external site.) video assigned this week.

Explain how a listing agent obtains a listing. Describe the steps that the agent must go through in order to close that listing and include any documents necessary in order to close the listing. Analyze potential problems that the listing agent may encounter in obtaining a listing and why such problems may occur. Conclude with recommendations of potential solutions.

Write a three to four-page paper (not including the title and reference pages) that contains an introduction and conclusion paragraph. The paper should be comprehensive with specific examples. The paper should be formatted according to APA guidelines, and references should include at least two scholarly, peer-reviewed, or credible professional sources.

The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate an understanding of what is required to create a client base. Critical thinking is required in order to differentiate between marketing choices available.

In your paper,

  • Explain how an agent obtains a listing.
    • Describe the steps and any documents necessary in order to close that listing.
  • Analyze potential problems an agent may encounter in obtaining a listing.
  • Recommend potential solutions for the problems an agent encounters when obtaining a listing.

The Home Listing and Selling paper

  • Must be three to four double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA Style.
  • Must include a separate title page with the following:
    • Title of paper in bold font
      • Space should appear between the title and the rest of the information on the title page.
    • Student’s name
    • Name of institution (University of Arizona Global Campus)
    • Course name and number
    • Instructor’s name
    • Due date
  • Must utilize academic voice.
  • Must include an introduction and conclusion paragraph. Your introduction paragraph needs to end with a clear thesis statement that indicates the purpose of your paper.
  • Must use at least two scholarly or professional sources in addition to the course text.
  • Must include a separate references page that is formatted according to APA Style as outlined in the Writing Center.
