Proposition Report

Critically evaluate the proposition that subliminal messages can persuade people.

The Proposition Report should be no more than 1000 words in length and the marking criteria are outlined below. It is crucial, as with all of your assignments, to study the marking criteria before starting an assignment.

Proposition Report Marking Criteria 

  1. Relevance: the author includes research evidence that is tightly aligned to the proposition title.
  2. Structure: the author has a clear structure supported by appropriate signposts.
  3. Style: the author writes sentences clearly, with fluidity and with an appropriate tone.
  4. Multiple perspectives: the author considers evidence on both sides of the proposition.
  5. Critical analysis: the author looks with a critical eye at the research evidence they have presented.
  6. Referencing: the author appropriately acknowledges academic sources in the body of the report and includes an accurate APA formatted reference list.
