Overview: For this first milestone, you will submit a draft of your case analysis in which you develop a proposal to complement the presentation that you created in Module Four. In this initial component of your implementation plan, you will analyze the case scenario provided to uncover coding and documentation that is inconsistent with compliance standards, AHIMA best practices, or both.

Prompt: Submit a paper that summarizes the compliance issues in the Healthy Health Center Case Study document and identifies solutions to these issues. Be sure to map each proposed solution to each issue identified in the case. Also, identify policies that may need to be updated or implemented to maintain compliance.

Rubric

Guidelines for Submission: Final Project I Milestone One should be submitted as a 2- to 3-page Word document with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Use the latest edition of APA formatting and citation guidelines.

Note that the grading rubric for this milestone submission is not identical to that of the final project. The Final Project I Rubric includes an additional “Exemplary” category that provides guidance as to how you can go above and beyond “Proficient” in your final submission.
