Instructions

Submit your coding compliance training presentation. The training guide, based on your proposal, will instruct HIM/coding professionals within the case organization on the appropriate use of the new technology and will explain how the new policies should be applied. The training should be submitted as a presentation and should inform and educate on the efficiency and accuracy that the CAC technology can bring to the organization.

To complete this assignment, review the Final Project Guidelines and Rubric document.

Overview: This course has two related final projects. The first is a coding compliance program proposal to an organization’s governing body, in which you will identify issues and propose both technology and policies to address the accuracy and compliance issues within the case provided in the Healthy Health Center Case Study document, located in the Required Resources section of the module. This proposal will be the basis for the second project, which is a coding compliance training presentation for HIM/coding professionals within the case organization. This training guide will instruct on the appropriate use of the new technology as well as explain how the new policies should be applied. These two projects attend to two perspectives of the HIM manager: the creation and proposal of large-scale improvements to high-level organizational management persons and the creation of process and guidance for coding professionals that report to the HIM manager.

Final Project I is divided into two milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions. These milestones will be submitted in Modules Four and Five. The final product will be submitted in Module Nine.

Final Project II has one milestone, which will be submitted to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions. This milestone will be submitted in Module Seven. The final product will be submitted in Module Nine.
