[Solved] Experience Design and Management for Tourism, Hospitality and Events
Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) Dunfermline
1.
Introduction
This is an individual hospitality
experience portfolio of the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) Dunfermline. I have visited
the fast-food chicken operator and franchiser severally since the turn of the
year. I have appreciated the exceptional and wide-ranging experience offered by
this largest fast-food restaurant throughout the world. In this portfolio, I
will give a fundamental analysis of the experience design and management of the
KFC Dunfermline using the four realms of experience, namely aesthetic,
educational, entertainment, and escapist, as illustrated by Pine and Gilmore
(1998).
The KFC Dunfermline
is located at the Fife Leisure Park, Dunfermline, United Kingdom and has been
operational since the early 2000s, when Fife Leisure Park was first opened. Like
all other KFCs throughout the world, KFC Dunfermline is famous for its standard
KFC chicken bucket, Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders, the Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, and the famous
KFC Bowl. Specifically, like all the other KFC stores, the KFC Dunfermline is
regarded as among the most iconic fast-food franchises with finger-licking good
chicken, breaded in all sizes and shapes, including wings, boneless fillets,
and popcorn bites. For instance, according to Team Peak (2021), more than 15
million people visit the fast-food restaurant in the UK s 960 KFC restaurants
due to the delicacy of the restaurant s chicken products. In this individual portfolio,
I will give a detailed
critical analysis of the exceptional and wide-ranging experience offered by Kentucky
Fried Chicken with respect to the hospitality industry.
