It is important in pointing out a concept s flaws and providing reasoning for the best possible scenarios. This is achieved through a thorough inventory of the existing characteristics and ideas in the artwork. This research analyzes the painting "Shy Glance" by Dawn Marie Jingagian and justifies why the author does not understand the work, especially its construction. The portrait is seriously disturbing, though it manages to relay its intended message. However, it achieves this through many difficulties, mainly because of expressivity deficiency.
