Posted at the start of Unit 6 and due at the end of Unit 7, the purpose of this written assignment is to explore your approach to relationships and conflict management. The paper should be word-processed, double-spaced, use 12-point, reader-friendly font and roughly one-inch margins. The entire paper should run about two pages or 1000 words, though depth of analysis is more important than numbers. Read chapter 6 and respond to the following prompts with a thoughtful, organized essay:
- Consider a friendship or other personal relationships you have now or had once. Explain that relationship in terms of the interpersonal relationship stages. Give examples that describe each stage.
- Describe an instance where you resolved conflict ineffectively. How can your approach to conflict be improved?
- What are the challenges of conflict and relationships in online settings like social media or using technological means of communication like texting and instant messages? How can you overcome those challenges?
- What is the greatest source of conflict in your world? What can you do to mitigate that conflict so you and others involved can be happy?
