Section C – Instructions to students
Task instructions:
Students are required to type a report in a Report Format which covers all requirements of the Assessment Task. The task will be mainly completed in the student’s own time. Marks will be allocated according the Marking Scheme of the Report Format.
Task 1 You are a registered builder in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. You are registered as a domestic builder unlimited as well as a commercial builder low to medium rise buildings. You are required to identify the quality requirements and explain the identified quality requirements for you as a builder when dealing with the following people or businesses: 1. Client 2. Architect or building designer. 3. Structural Engineer 4. Building Surveyor 5. Geotechnical Engineer 6. Consultants e.g. lawyers, accountants 7. Subcontractors 8. Material Suppliers 9. Local Council 10. Bank or finance company. Consult AS/NZS ISO 9000: 2016 Quality Management Systems – Fundamentals and Vocabulary for information to help you with your assessment task. This assessment task must be presented in a Report Format (Structure). 1500 words minimum. Typed in A4 format. Spell check your work. No copying (plagiarism). Penalties will apply to all involved Late submissions will not be accepted.
Section D – Conditions for assessment
Conditions:
This is an individual assessment (no cheating, copying or plagiarising permitted. Penalties will apply to all involved). Special consideration is only available for those who complete the Holmesglen Institute Special Consideration forms and satisfy the special consideration requirements on the form. Students must satisfy the criteria in the marking guide. Students may appeal an assessment decision according to the Holmesglen procedure (fill out the appropriate form and may be a fee required to be paid – see Holmesglen regulations). Report submitted on the internet using Brightspace by the due date and time. Retesting only available to students with a minimum of 80% attendance and submission of all assessment tasks by the due dates and times.
